Now that the cold front has moved in and we’ve finally had a bit of rain, it’s even more gorgeous at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Here is a selection of some of the hundreds of the photos I have taken there in September (so far).
Floral Photo Safari at Mounts Botanical Garden
This morning, I had the pleasure of taking a two-hour floral photography safari in Mounts Botanical Garden in W. Palm Beach, FL. It was beautiful and serene there, all except for the every-five-minute takeoffs and landings at the airport across the street. Oh well.
Here are a few of the 100+ pictures I took today.
Floral Photos :: In Memory of Barbara L. Anderson
After a several-year battle with lung cancer, my mom (Barbara L. Anderson) passed away in her sleep at her home last night. She loved gardens and flowers. So after I got my kiddos out the door to school this morning, I went to Lakeland’s Hollis Gardens, took a long walk and snapped these photos. I am confident Mom would love all of them — except maybe for the one with the dragonfly on it 🙂
Thank you, Mom, for inspiring in me a love of flowers . . . and cooking. (I just made her famous Chicken Cacciatore for my family for dinner tonight.)
Floral Images by Barbara Nixon
Here’s hoping these floral images brighten your day!
NOTE: Though I can take pics of flowers fairly well, I do not have a green thumb. Most of these flowers are from the Georgia Southern or Savannah Botanical Gardens.
