The Future of Journalism?

“Imagine, if you will, sitting down to your morning coffee, turning on your home computer to read the day’s newspaper,” says the KRON anchor.

Here’s a view on the future of journalism . . . as I might have seen on the evening news if I’d lived in San Francisco in 1981, the year I graduated from high school.

What do you find the most interesting about this news report? For me, it was watching them use the modems.

  1. I found two things very interesting..
The first being “we aren’t in it to make money”… It was interesting to me because of how much the online news reporting has grown. The second being the fact that the man at the news stand at the end “doesn’t have to worry about losing his job.” I guess it was just a little funny to me because in a Sales course that I am currently taking we have discussed the fact that new readers have declined and existing readers have very specific buying habits which makes for an uncertain future for a lot of people.
