What’s in the Box?

Do you have seven seconds to spare today?

Please SHARE this photo and story from my friend Kourosh Zakeri. He’s trying to win a contest with the photo, but even more importantly, he’s trying to share his story. I’ve learned a lot from him in the two months we’ve been friends, and I think you will, too.

UPDATE April 14, 2014: Kourosh won the contest! Thank you for sharing his photo and story.

And if you have seventy seconds to spare, would you mind sharing this photo/story on a few of your friends’ individual timelines, or in groups you participate in?

Thanks so much!

  1. Hi Lauren! Thank you for the kind words and sharing your own personal experience. Chronic arthritis is indeed challenging and symptoms seem to fluctuate with the seasons — sometimes literally. I’ve found stress management to be the number one indicator of how well I respond to other methods of pain and physical management. If I can be an avenue of support or advice for your boyfriend please let me know. Take care!

  2. I found this article to be very interesting and humbling. My boyfriend has Rheumatoid arthritis and was diagnosed with it when he was a teenager. I have seen the pain he is in when it is raining, etc. It is so good that this guy is staying healthy and I love the symbol of the box, its a very clever idea.
